NidoPlay Privacy Policy

NidoPlay is a family local media library player. We do not provide online video sources, upload your media files, create an account system, or use your local media library for ad recommendations.

1. Information we process

NidoPlay processes, on your device, folder information you explicitly authorize, media scan cache, cover thumbnails, playback progress, watch history, and playback settings. This information is used to build the local media library, restore playback progress, improve playback, and save your preferences.

If you contact us through WeChat or email, the contact details, device model, system version, problem description, and screenshots you voluntarily provide are used for installation support, compatibility troubleshooting, and feedback handling.

2. What we do not do

NidoPlay does not require account registration or login, does not upload your local media files, does not provide cloud sync or cloud backup, does not sell personal information, does not connect to an ad recommendation feed, and does not provide online video sources, resource search, or download services.

3. Permissions and local files

When you choose to add a media directory, the system asks you to authorize access to that folder. NidoPlay only scans and plays local files according to your authorization. Removing media library records does not delete your original files.

Casting is only used for temporary playback connections within the same local network. Actual availability depends on the system and local-network devices.

4. Data storage and deletion

Media library cache, thumbnails, playback records, and settings are stored on the current device by default. You can remove media library records in the app, or uninstall the app through the system to delete app-local data. For feedback submitted through WeChat or email, you can contact us to request deletion.

5. Third-party services

NidoPlay uses local playback, background audio, AirPlay, or DLNA capabilities provided by the system and platform. When you contact us through external channels such as WeChat or email, those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

6. Children's privacy

NidoPlay is designed for family local media management and playback. It does not actively collect personal information from children. Parents should confirm that imported local content is suitable for children to watch or listen to.
